By accessing or using Place My Parents ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Place My Parents is a platform that connects families (Coordinators) seeking care for their loved ones with homecare facilities (Providers). The Service facilitates:

  • Creation of care recipient profiles
  • Discovery of care facilities
  • Submission and management of care requests
  • Communication between families and providers

Place My Parents is a platform service only. We do not provide care services directly and are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by facilities listed on our platform.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users

5. For Coordinators (Families)

As a Coordinator, you acknowledge that:

  • You have authority to share care recipient information with facilities
  • Information provided about care recipients is accurate and complete
  • You are responsible for verifying facility credentials and suitability
  • Place My Parents does not guarantee placement or availability
  • Final decisions about care arrangements are your responsibility

6. For Providers (Facilities)

As a Provider, you represent and warrant that:

  • You hold all required licenses and certifications for your jurisdiction
  • Information about your facility is accurate and up-to-date
  • You will respond to care requests in a timely manner
  • You will maintain appropriate insurance coverage
  • You will comply with all applicable healthcare regulations
  • You will protect confidential information received through the Service

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Place My Parents and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute that content as necessary to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
  • Any facility listed on the Service is suitable for your needs

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLACE MY PARENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:

  • Loss of profits, data, or use
  • Personal injury or property damage
  • Any conduct of third parties on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service

We are not liable for the actions, content, or quality of care provided by any facility or user of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Place My Parents, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
